Payment and Office Policies

Greta accepts payment in the form of cash, check or credit card (Mastercard or Visa). Payment is due when services are rendered unless an alternate payment plan is established. Clients may choose to prepay for several sessions in advance. The office does not accept HMO insurance and is not a provider for any insurance companies. If the client has out of network benefits for mental health, a statement will be provided for submission directly to the insurance company. Most PPO insurance plans reimburse a portion of the session fee. It is advised to check with your insurance company to inquire about specific mental health benefits and reimbursement details. Once an appointment time has been established, this weekly time will be held for you each week. The office has a 48 hour cancellation policy and less than 48 hours notice will incur the full session fee. Clients may email and leave voicemail messages as needed. Calls will be returned within 24 hours. If more than 10 minutes is spent on a phone call, a prorated rate based on the full session fee will be applied to the balance.

Note to Eating Disorder clients and families:  Eating Disorder clients require ongoing consultation and communication with other treatment team members and medical providers.  To provide the most successful treatment experience, Greta will initiate and maintain weekly (sometimes daily) contact with other providers.  You will not necessarily know about nor be billed for many of these communications.  But when the daily communications become more frequent, you will be billed for emails and phone consults that occur outside of session time and that are considered to be outside the parameters of "normal and expected communications."
